Elizabeth Alvarado, Ph.D. - Educational Director
In 2016, after over a decade as a bilingual educator and an educational researcher, Liz founded Bella Lengua Multilingual Learning. From 2016-2018, Bella Lengua ran language immersion summer camps and language enrichment programs in San Marcos, Vista, and Carlsbad public schools. This May, Bella Lengua will open in Oceanside as a licensed childcare facility.
Prior to founding Bella Lengua, Elizabeth earned a Ph.D. in Urban Schooling from UCLA and a Master’s Degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard. She also holds a California Child Development Director Permit, a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential with a concentration in bilingual education, as well as training with the LifeWays program (a Waldorf early childhood education program). In her career, Elizabeth has presented at national, statewide, and local educational conferences and written several publications related to multicultural education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two girls, cooking, practicing yoga, and spending time outside.
Guadalupe Olvera, B.A. - Lead Teacher

Mrs. Guadalupe was born and raised in Mexico City and she is the seventh of nine children! Mrs. Guadalupe holds a degree in Education and Psychology. First and foremost, she considers herself a teacher. She has worked with children of all ages for approximately 30 years, and has loved every moment of it! Her students have been her best teachers.
Mrs. Guadalupe has a 25 year old son who finished college in San Francisco and is currently based in Dublin, Ireland. In her spare time, Mrs. Guadalupe likes to run long-distances, read fiction, cook Mexican food, and overall just enjoy life!
